Our goal is to provide care in a stable, comfortable environment that fosters both physical and mental well-being for all of our residents. At Gables on the Pond, caring began with the design of both of our buildings and continues through with personalized assistance and regular activities. We also offer social interactions and mental stimulation, all of which give comfort and peace of mind to residents and their families.

One Monthly Fee Covers…

All Gables on the Pond services are included in one monthly fee, which is basically unheard of in today’s market. This level of care includes assistance with every aspect of living such as dressing and undressing, showering/bathing, three home cooked meals a day, snacks, basic cable television, medication distribution, and toileting assistance (for those who require it).  Registered Nurses are available for nursing assessments and blood draws. Laundry and housekeeping services are also included in this one monthly fee.

Dining

Gables serves three freshly prepared, home-cooked meals per day, in our comfortable resident dining rooms. We serve fresh, in-season items whenever possible. Gables on the Pond follows any doctor prescribed diets such as low sugar, low salt and low fat, to help your loved ones with their individualized dietary needs.

Additional

The only thing the resident pays, for over and above the rent, is the purchase of their medications from an outside pharmacy, in-house salon services, telephone service, and handicapped van transportation to medical appointments as needed.

Gables on the Pond residents enjoy the security of first-class, 24-hour support, seven days a week by our Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. We are fully prepared to manage the use of oxygen and other special equipment associated to meet our residents’ needs.

Medical Administration

Residents are responsible for purchasing their own medications. All medications are confirmed upon delivery and placed in locked storage for distribution by our staff. This procedure for handling medicines exceeds Wisconsin regulations for Community Based Residential Facilities and assures that all medicines are correctly dispensed as prescribed by each resident’s physician.

In some cases, with approval of the physician, our residents may handle their own medications. We keep records and make sure that all residents take their medicines as prescribed.  Our Registered Nurses keep complete medical records on each resident. These records are available to the physician upon request.

Non-Emergency Medical Care

We help our residents make regular visits to their doctors, dentists, podiatrists, and other medical specialists. For a small fee, a handicapped-accessible van and driver can transport residents to their local medical visits.  Gables also has an On-Call Physician available to treat residents upon request without ever leaving the comfort of their own living space.  Residents may keep their primary physician, but have another option when just not feeling up to leaving the building.

Other Medical Specialists

Gables has a Podiatrist, Dental Hygienist, and Behavioral Health Specialist available for in-house, professional services as well.  In addition, Gables can arrange on-site therapy by Mueller Therapy of Random Lake, with a treatment room available right in the building.

Emergencies

If a resident becomes ill, or requires a higher level of medical assistance, the Registered Nurse will take immediate appropriate action. If the need for additional care occurs at night, our entire staff of Certified Caregivers is prepared to act immediately. Three full-service hospitals are within 20 minutes of Random Lake.  Emergency ambulance service is available through the Random Lake Fire Department.

Respite Services

Respite care services are available so at-home family caregivers can take an occasional, much earned break.  From one day, to one week, or more, we care for your loved one just as you would.

Short Term Rehabilitation

Our facility is a perfect place to recover from surgery or other medical treatments that require a period of assisted convalescence and physical therapy. During the stay, we help arrange access to prescribed physical therapy services, provided by outside resources, in the resident’s apartment and common areas of our buildings.

End Of Life Care

We are qualified to provide comfort and dignity to those in declining states of health. At Gables on the Pond, we work closely with several area hospice providers to ensure our residents can stay at Gables on the Pond through the duration of their life.
